A large, white, fabric-covered biplane which is the subject of this post. It is mostly white with a yellow and black accent stripes running the length of the fuselage. The aircraft is mounted on two, large amphibious floats. The sky in the picture is a vivid blue with fluffy white clouds. The aircraft is parked in front of a hangar, which also has maintenance equipment parked in front of it. Superimposed over the image are the words Β« WEBFOOT Β» in large block letters in white and then the word Β« Wednesday Β» in script similar to the colour of the accent stripe of the plane.
"Visions of freedom come in many forms, one of which is an airplane that’s equally at home whether on land, on water, or in the air." β€” Budd Davidsson

On the second Wednesday we celebrate aircraft capable of operating off water. Do you have a favourite photograph, link or memory of one? Let us know2 with a comment and we'll pass it along. Meanwhile here's what we've found so far for this edition. You can find even more using our Bluesky Custom Feed3 of the same name. We hope those whose posts you really like you'll click on their post below and acknowledge their work with a like and maybe follow them to see their future posts:

The Β« Philippine Mars Β» is heading off to a dignified retirement at the Pima Air & Space Museum. No retirement for Webfoot Wednesday, however. The next one rolls around on the second Wednesday of June, the 12th. Thanks to all this time and see you then. (πŸ“Έ Coulson Aviation) | πŸ›©οΈ πŸ¦† βš”οΈ πŸ“° πŸ“
