The wing of a passenger aircraft taken from a passenger window. A winglet can be seen at the end of the wing. The aircraft is flying over snow-capped mountains under a cloudless blue sky which we subsequently identified from photo metadata as ‎⁨Goat Range Provincial Park⁩, ⁨British Columbia⁩, ⁨Canada⁩. Superimposed over the image are the words 'Wednesday', in bluish script, and then 'WINDOW SEAT' in larger, white, block letters.
"Happiness is looking down at the next destination from an airplane window."

Here's what folks are seeing out their airplane window. Want even more — you can find it using our Bluesky Custom Feed 1 of the same name. Have you spotted something out your airplane window worthy of sharing? Let us know2. We hope that for those whose posts you really like you'll click on their post below acknowledge their work with a like and maybe follow them to see their future posts:

We furloughed the Wednesday Window Seat 💺 feature for the time being. However, we just rejigged the Custom Feed so you can access "great shots from a window seat" any time you want. Access it with this link 🔗 or, for more information, click image below. | 🛩️ 💺 | 1 of 2 | 🔗 bsky.app/profile/did:...

Boeing 767-200, ex S7-EXL, 'La Belle Creole' of Air Seychelles. Seen here at Cotswold Airport, UK (EGBP) being 'parted out', in 2009. Recycling applies to airliners, as well! Many valuable parts - engines, flight instruments, electronics, etc. will be refurbished and used in other airliners.🛩️✈️💺

Friday Fédèle: inspired by this month's cover, the first in a monthly series with selections from Fédèle Azari's (1895-1930) aviation photography collection in the loving care of @gettymuseum.bsky.social. We were charmed by the airship shadow in this one. | 🛩️ 💺 🎈 | 🔗 www.getty.edu/art/collecti...

It's no secret we're fans of @antarcticsurvey.bsky.social and we found *yet another* reason as described in this article. They're capturing detailed imagery with what appears to be a garden-variety AgEagle eBee X survey drone for this Biodiversity Challenge Fund project. Well worth a read. | 🛩️ 📡 💺

Not only is this a robust collection but we found the integrated explorer tool intuitive and easy-to-use. The only word of caution: you should probably set aside the day — or a couple — before you get started. | 🛩️ 💺
